The writing was a bit stilted at times, and generally it was a bit hard to read. Not that I had any expectations of it being an easy read. Most people now know the story of a lion cub, who was raised in captivity, and then returned to the wild. This is the first part of the trilogy, written by Joy Adamson, wife of the Senior Game Warden of Kenya. Together, they made this remarkable story happen. In October, we launched ‘Saving Meru’s Giants’, our ambitious programme to protect elephants and giraffes of Meru, including the deployment of our de-snaring Twiga Team.
