Description

Oralet, a fruit tea with flavours like orange, apple, lemon, and cherry, looks more like sprinkles for decorating cakes rather than leaves. The unusual bright colour, fruity taste, and sweetness mean this drink does not need extra sugar. Sold at local weekly markets, this type appeals to tourists more than Turks. Since this tea is naturally sweetened, don’t feel the need to add a dash of sugar. Instead, enjoy this sweet brew and it’s fruity flavors naturally. There is also quite a bit of sugar to add sweetness and then lemon (or citric acid) to add zing and a bit of sourness. Ingredients & Possible Substitutions Apple

They are very inexpensive to buy and last a long time, which means it’s quite handy to have them at home especially if you like making lemonades or iced teas. I also often use them for traditional sweet making, fruit curds, jams or marmalade making, so there are plenty of uses for these ingredients.Serve the apple pancakes with a homemade apple sauce (or some of my apple sauce substitutions) and you have a winning combination for a delicious autumn breakfast. How to keep and store your apple tea I also use the frozen apple tea ice cubes to make iced teas or add it to my breakfast smoothies. What to do with the discarded apples This tea is made from dried apple pieces, which are infused in a hot water with some cinnamon. The tea is traditionally served in small tulip like glasses on a tray with a spoon and sugar cubes on the side. There are many different types of Fruit Tea products. Some are Granulated Turkish Apple Tea, Turkish Lemon Tea, Turkish Pomegranate Tea, such as Hazer Baba Apple Tea, Hazer Baba Pomegranate Tea, Turko Baba Apple Tea products, some are sachets of Apple Tea products such as Dogus Apple Tea, Dogadan Apple Tea, and Lipton Apple Tea.

A steeping time of about 4-6 minutes with more or less time is recommended depending on the desired concentration.

Is Turkish Tea Good for You?

Coffee and teas are served like that as well and you can see the serving trays and glasses in every tea room or restaurant. It looks very pretty! There is one more thing about apple tea that most people don’t realize – it’s usually just an artificial apple powder with lots of sugar and doesn’t actually contain any apples. However, when offered this drink, don’t judge and enjoy it; it is tasty. Regional Food Dishes: Any first-time visitor to Turkey who assumes kebabs are an everyday feast is misinformed. Thousands of traditional dishes across Turkey associate with specific regions and are well respected for production, excellent ingredients, and diversity from standard recipes. If food is your passion in life, a culinary tour of Turkey’s cuisine alongside tasting tea or coffee is highly recommended. Once the water boils, wait a few seconds before pouring it into your teapot. This will preserve the taste of the tea and its natural, healthy benefits. “Leaf” It Be

Before you start making your tea, test the quality. Add a few tea leaves to a cup of color water. If the water changes color slowly, you’re good to go. It also holds a number of beneficial health benefits. That means you can sip, socialize, and benefit your body with every brew. I remember that we used to dry apple pieces during summer and made them into tea in the winter in exactly the same way. I don’t think we added cinnamon, but that’s the only difference. You can also make them into a wonderful Apple Fruit Curd, homemade apple sauce or simply eat them on their own with a drizzling of honey, maple or other maple syrup substitutes from my healthy sweet syrups list. The discarded apples can be kept in the fridge for 2-3 days (covered and in the suitable container) or can be frozen once cooled down and kept for up to 3 months in the freezer. Depending on what type of apple you use, you might get a different flavour finish. I normally go for dark red apples, but green apples are lovely too. Alcohol consumption in Turkey is lower than in most European countries, but beer is the most popular alcoholic beverage among Turkish people.
