Description

ColorVu Technology works to provide full colour images 24/7. The camera is able to achieve this with a large iris, high-performance sensor and built-in white LED supplement lighting. For seeing as much of the immediate area as possible such as above a doorway/low down/garage soffits (edges can appear slightly warped/distorted) - clearly "zoomed out" The Hikvision DS-2CD2347G2-LU(2.8MM)(C) is a 4 Megapixel (4MP) Ultra HD IP-POE Gery Turret Camera available in a 2.8mm fixed focal length. Otherwise what is the least risky way for me to be enable functionality for motion triggering of supplemental light? TCP/IP, UDP, ICMP, HTTP, HTTPS, FTP, DHCP, DNS, DDNS, RTP, RTSP, RTCP, PPPoE, NTP, UPnP, SMTP, SNMP, IGMP, 802.1X, QoS, IPv6

The second model you linked is a G1 camera. That is an older discontinued model (it has ColorVu but does not have AcuSense). I would advise against that. Audio Bit Rate -U: 64 Kbps (G.711ulaw/G.711alaw)/16 Kbps (G.722.1)/16 Kbps (G.726)/32 to 192 Kbps (MP2L2)/8 to 320 Kbps (MP3)/16 to 64 Kbps (AAC-LC) Protocols TCP/IP, ICMP, HTTP, HTTPS, FTP, DHCP, DNS, DDNS, RTP, RTSP, RTCP, PPPoE, NTP, UPnP™, SMTP, SNMP, IGMP, 802.1X, QoS, IPv6, UDP, Bonjour Fix the problem that neither IR nor white light will turn on when the ambient brightness suddenly becomes dim in an event-triggered situation in smart mode. The Hikvision DS-2CD2347G2-LSU/SL is a 4MP ColorVu turret network camera suitable for indoor our outdoor use and featuring a built in microphone. Both of the above variants are current models - the LSU/SL model is not a newer version of the LU. They're the same model but the LSU/SL has two way audio (microphone and speaker) and also the strobe light. So for your numbered queries:

I've personally only ever used 4 or 8 (there's no specific reason for that decision). 8 MP are a good choice if you're covering a larger area or are using the ultra wide 2.8mm lens; if not 4 MP are fine. Look at the data sheets and they give you some DORI (Detect, Observe, Recognise, Identify) distances that may be of use. If the cameras are connected to a Hikvision NVR you'll need to be mindful of how much bandwidth you have available on that NVR. You can also use the Hikvision online calculator to work out what works best for you specifically: https://tools.hikvision.com/ca... https://www.hikvisioneurope.com/eu/portal/?dir=portal/Technical%20Materials/00%20%20Network%20Camera/00%20%20Product%20Firmware/G5%20Platform/01.%20%282xx3G2%202xx6G2%28C%29%202XX6G2H%202xx7G2%28C%29%202XX7G2H%203xx6G2%28C%29%203xx7G2%28C%29%201x83G0%29/2xxxG2%28C%29/V5.7.13-SP2_230706Is it safe to assume that my mistake was to upgrade to the latest firmware rather than the firmware that specifically allows motion detection activation for supplemental light?
