I really love it when authors bring characters from one series into another one - it’s like meeting an old friend again. Now, just as time is running out on her investigation, she finally gets her most promising breakthrough yet -the identity of her sister’s kidnapper: Ito Vincenzo.Murder and political corruption are at the center of this mystery, and this time in addition to her intrepid FBI assistant Carol Blum she has John Puller as a partner in tracking down these evil people.

Not only does this create a greater sense of urgency but it creates increased confusion while changing the course of the investigation. I haven't read the John Puller series but my husband is a fan and he was excited to see the crossover of worlds.
