About this deal

We may, but are not under any obligation, to release new functionalities and tools or other features for the Service every now and then. Any new functionalities, tools and features shall be part of and governed by the Terms from the moment they are launched and/or available. Further, we reserve the right to modify, change, discontinue the Service, add or remove features, update the Service, change its appearance, temporarily and permanently, at any time, in whole or any part thereof. Macallan 12 Sherry Oak is a whisky that offers a remarkable and immersive experience from the moment you first encounter it. Similar to GlenDronach 12, it imbues the influence of the Oloroso casks, but this sherried Macallan takes it up a notch, delivering a punch of flavour and complexity that astonishes for a 12-year-old whisky. Glendronach 18 yo 1995/2014 (52.2%, OB for The Whisky Agency, oloroso sherry puncheon, cask #4408, 740 bottles) - 221214 Our Service is an online platform which provides Members with information (e.g. bottle facts, market-indices, market values and prices) on (mostly) whisky and allows Members to add information to the platform. We do not sell, nor does the Service provide any option to buy, any alcoholic products. Glendronach 39 yo 1972/2011 (53%, OB for Shinanoya, Tokyo, oloroso, cask #717, 150 bottles) - 130212

Nose: Piercing, delectable waves of fruit. All kinds of fruit. Dried, fresh, baked, jammed. It reminds me of a Trader Joe’s frozen pastry-and-custard dessert with mango and passionfruit we used to buy (“Torta Cotta”). In this glass there is vanilla custard, flaky layers of buttery pastry, layers upon layers of tropical fruits, and deeper in the glass are classic GlenDronach cocoa-and-caramel. Lovely, and assertive. This jumps right out of the glass, no need to dig. Glendronach 11 yo 2002/2013 (57.2%, OB, for Whiskybase, oloroso sherry butt, cask #2751, 701 bottles) - 221213 In contrast, Macallan 12 Sherry Oak delivers a bolder and more immersive experience. With flavours of hot pastries, marmalade, citrus peels, and sherried dried fruits, it offers you an enriching journey for your palate. Despite its higher price point, it provides a captivating and indulgent experience, especially for those who appreciate a spicier profile and seek a whisky with depth and intrigue. GlenDronach 12 yo 2004/2016 (54.1%, OB, for CC Taiwan, Oloroso sherry butt, cask #349, 653 bottles) - 190122The mouthfeel is full-bodied, though it may be considered weaker in terms of intensity. It finishes with notes of smoky toffee and nut brittle, along with spices and hints of dark chocolate and dark berries. These unique flavour notes represent the enriching subtleties of its Highland heritage, providing the GlenDronach 12 some individuality against its stronger counterpart, the Macallan 12 Sherry Oak. Glendronach 20 yo 1994/2014 (58.8%, OB, for Whisky Live Tokyo 2014, oloroso sherry butt, cask #44, 595 bottles) - 300817 Glendronach 18 yo 1996/2014 (55.3%, OB for The Dram Brothers, Madeira hogsheads, cask #4766) - 300514 Glendronach 26 yo 1992/2018 (51.8%, OB for The Whisky Barrel, PX puncheon, cask #8314, 720 bottles) - 230720 Glendronach 11 yo 2003/2014 (54.8%, OB, for Aroma Taiwan, Pedro Ximenez puncheon, cask #4002, 687 bottles) - 310817

Glendronach 24 yo 1993/2017 (53.5%, OB for Andy’s Selection, Taiwan, sherry butt, cask #407, 633 bottles) - 230720Glendronach 26 yo 1993/2019 (51%, OB, for The Whisky List, Australia, First Fill Oloroso Sherry, cask #392, 657 bottles) - 090721 Glendronach 20 yo 1993/2013 (59.1%, OB, Abbey Whisky, Oloroso sherry butt, cask 33, 592 bottles) - 280414 The GlenDronach distillery lies at the Dronach Burn in the Deveron area. The whisky distillery was founded in 1826, by a syndicate headed by James Allardes. Thanks to the fifth Duke of Gordon, distillation throughout the highlands was legalized in the early 19th century. It is said the duke encouraged the group to build GlenDronach. The distillery changed hands in 1852, to Walter Scott of Teaninich. Following his death, a group from Leith acquired the distillery.

Mouthfeel: As the amber liquid pours into your glass, the rich colour itself speaks volumes for the incredible sensory journey awaiting you. The whisky gently glides across your tongue with its oily yet satisfying texture, revealing a complexity that unfolds gradually as you sip. The initial sweet and spiced notes from the sherry casks is balanced by a smoothness that persists throughout your drinking experience. This unadulterated cask strength bottling brings out the full character and depth of GlenDronach’s complex, full-bodied spirit, along with the rich, deep concentration of flavour and natural colour from those Spanish oak Sherry casks: the Pedro Ximénez casks bring rich, fruit flavours, whilst the dry and nutty notes come from the Oloroso casks.Glendronach 17 yo 1995/2013 (56.6%, OB for The Whisky Exchange, PX puncheon, cask #4682, 631 bottles) - 270513

Glendronach 11 yo 2003/2014 (53.9%, OB, for Aroma Taiwan, Pedro Ximenez puncheon, cask #4008, 678 bottles) - 310817 Unless mandatory applicable law provides otherwise, your use of and membership to the Service are exclusively governed by Dutch law. We shall first try to settle any dispute over a dram of whisky. Glendronach 20 yo 1994/2014 (59.1%, OB for Taiwan, cask #30, oloroso sherry butt, 609 bottles) - by Angus - 110720Whiskybase B.V. is the Dutch private limited liability company, having its statutory seat in Rotterdam, The Netherlands and its office at Zwaanshals 530, 3035 KS Rotterdam, The Netherlands. Whiskybase B.V. is registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce under no. 52072819. This madness was short lived, thankfully, because in 2008 The BenRiach Distillery Co Ltd acquired GlenDronach from Pernod Ricard. The new ownership brought GlenDronach under independent ownership for the first time in almost half a century and more importantly, brought it under stewardship of Billy Walker, one of the most exciting whisky makers of our time. GlenDronach 23 yo 1993/2016 (59.1%, OB, for D.C. & T.D.M. Taiwan, Oloroso sherry, cask #41, 587 bottles) - 190122 Glendronach 26 yo 1992/2018 (56.7%, OB for Whisky Online, cask #220, sherry butt) - by Angus - 011218
