About this deal

It is a well-known fact that Janome sewing machines are always high-quality and of an excellent standard. Janome machines have ever had a good reputation about bringing the best to the table, and have been equally recommended for producing robust, sturdy and durable sewing machines. The Janome HD200 is not excluded from these astounding qualities and functions and is designed for heavy use and not regular use. It contains metal parts, which makes it very durable. Portability The throat is the standard size at 6”. If you are looking to quilt something large like a, well, quilt, just keep in mind that you will be working with very limited space. Does the HD3000 have a needle up/down function? The “One-Step Buttonhole Maker” that works well to create good buttonholes. But frankly, it’s a little inconvenient because after each buttonhole has been stitched, the sensor needs to be reset.

Overall it is an outstanding machine for someone who needs a machine that can do really heavy duty work but also a machine that can do other work as well as regular hobby or home use. While it isn't a machine for dedicated professional or for heavy industrial use, I think it could definitely be used as a great starter machine while you grow your business and work up to and afford a more professional machine. Another issue is feeding with multiple heavy layers. It can struggle feeding lots of heavy fabric. When this happens the needle can bend to the front and hit the needle plate which isn't good. Normally I like to let the machine feed the fabric but with heavy fabric with lots of fabric in layers and hanging off the front of the machine you will want to give it a little assist so this doesn't happen. Here are some of the most frequently asked questions about the HD3000 by prospective buyers. Is this an industrial sewing machine?

step buttonholes – the foot measures the actual size the buttonhole each time a buttonhole is sewed. The extra-high lift on the presser foot measures about three-quarters of an inch. You can lift it this high by merely using the presser foot lever. Overall, most people are quite content with the quality and durability of this machine. HD3000 is easy to operate, and it can be used for the variety of sewing projects to produce professional quality results. This one’s a winner.

It’s neither heavy nor light. At 18.7 pounds, this isn't the lightest sewing machine on the market, although it's a whole lot lighter than the machines of yesteryear. I've sewn tons of other lighter weight and stretchy fabrics without problem as well, well without problems induced by not being familiar with the fabrics being used. The variety of stitch patterns has been way more than I need for 99% of my sewing. Standard straight stich and zig-zag covers about 90% of my work and three or so others for the rest. Sewing is not just a useful and practical skill; it's also a wonderful creative expression. The Janome hd 3000 sewing machineis so versatile that it’s made for people of many skill levels. Among some of the first features that you are most likely to notice with the Janome HD 3000 sewing machine are the built-in stitches. It comes with 18 built-in stitches consisting of a small range of decorative and basic stitches such as zigzag and straight stitches that can go a long way in helping you become creative. Flip up the top cover for a convenient visual representation of the different stitches. But if you don’t fancy many stitch options but you still want to get the job done, this is the right machine for you. The Janome HD 3000 has got a stitch length of 4mm and a stitch width of 6.5mm. More importantly, a user has the option of adjusting the stitch length and width as he or she wishes or depending on the project or the task at hand. The adjustments are conveniently located on the front of this machine for ease of use. While this isn’t a make or break feature, it is certainly convenient. High presser foot clearance

Here are some of the questions you might have about this 18 built-in stitch machine from Janome. Is pressure on presser foot adjustable? So if your machine is being used for extended periods of time, or used heavily day after day, you will need to service it accordingly. But don’t expect it to last for years if it’s going non-stop. That’s NOT what it was designed to handle. Included hard case – this is a case designed to offer convenience and sturdy protection of the machine. If you work with a variety of fabrics, you probably would prefer the HD3000. Is the HD3000 Better Than the HD1000? Although I have my reservations about the process of making a series of buttonholes, that is my only concern. Working on this machine is a great experience that I believe would enhance any sewing room.
