Just One is a cooperative party game for 3 to 7 players, designed by Ludovic Roudy and Bruno Sautter and published by Repos Production in 2018. In each round of the game, players write down a one word clue for the round's guesser, who must figure out the secret word for the round. Identical clues are discarded before the guesser sees them. The combination of a gripping and emotional narrative with God of War 's signature crunching combat is a thing to behold in Ragnarok - it means that every turn you're in for an epic encounter or a brilliant bit of story; the mixing of the two makes this a true epic. Choose your clue without coordinating with each other and be original so as not to write the same clue as ano- ther player, as all identical clues will be canceled before the active player gets to see them. Just One is a cooperative party game where you get other players to guess mystery words by the team writing secret clues that help corroborate what the Mystery Word is. Of course, we also find it really fun when everyone is second-guessing what clues their going to write so much that every clue becomes too obscure. It leaves the active player with some head-scratching moments trying to piece together what on Earth all the clues have to do with each other. The “Tut” clues will cancel out and the active player will have to guess from the remaining clues. The rule that translations are invalid clues is a frequent source of disagreements, especially when players speak different languages. Some players consider that a word which is found in standard dictionaries of the language you're playing in can be considered not to be a translation. Others think that if the mystery word is hat then sombrero is not a valid clue, because it's the generic Spanish word for hat and this makes it irrelevant that it's been adopted into English to refer to a particular style of hat.
Once all players have secretly written their one word clue, the active player closes their eyes. The other players turn their easels around so they can each see all the clues. If any clues are identical, they are cancelled and those easels are tipped face down. The way Brighton use their keepers was cited as an example, and whether it’s right or wrong or something inbetween, both Jason Steele and Bart Verbruggen are involved. There seems to be a kind of pattern to it as well.
