I was also wondering where Miha went the whole book but I may not have remembered if she was mentioned in the beginning and didn’t play a role until mentioned right at the very end. And the whole thing with Isolde being bitten and can now turn into a beast, that can potentially turn into anything? I mean, the development was split between the two concepts, but the reveal about said rogue witch at the end left me…confused.She didn’t want to be weak but didn’t do anything to hone some fighting skills and is upset that she didn’t “save anyone” against the aufhocker.

Like I remember in book 1 how he was supportive of her and her "unique" personality, and in this book he kind of fights her for being her. Is it possible that love will triumph over their darkness, or are they destined to simply learn to live with it? She does not have any compassion or forgiveness in her heart for those who would do harm to her kingdom.
